Pairing: Rude/Tifa Lockhart
Summary: Rude needs to distract Tifa from taking his glasses
Tifa hummed a soft tune to herself as she waited for Rude to arrive. She found herself looking forward to his visits. Though he was generally silent, she was beginning to see a new facet to him—his sharp wit and sense of humor kept her entertained.
“Nice song.” She looked up at the familiar voice, a faint blush creeping on her cheeks.
“Hello Rude.” One thing piqued her curiosity though. What is the color of his eyes?
“Rude? Can…” She blushed in embarrassment at what she was going to ask, but determined to push through with it. “Can I see your eyes?”
She wants to see my eyes!
Panic rose in him. No one outside the Turks has seen his eyes and lived. His weakness, as Tseng stated when he first started, was his eyes. His eyes always betrayed what he felt.
She’ll know I like her! I have to distract her.
Her hand hesitantly reached for his glasses.
Think fast Rude.
He vaguely heard Tifa gasp as his lips descended on hers.
…I’m kissing Tifa Lockheart.
…She’s not pushing me away.
He held her by the waist as she wound her arms around his neck.
Rude pulled away but did not relinquish his hold on Tifa. He smiled as Tifa buried her face in his neck, her warm breath sending shivers all over his body. I am such a sap. Reno would have a field day. Looking at the gorgeous woman in his arms, he grinned. Completely worth it.
“What are you thinking?”
“Much better than my dreams.”
Tifa ducked her head to hide the blush that covered her cheeks. Rude always said the sweetest things.
“You think of me?”
She rolled her eyes. “No, I think of how sexy Reno looks when he’s passed out on the bar stool. Of course I like you Rude! How could I not?”
“Because I'm a Turk?
“You’re rebuilding the world. Or protecting the guy who’s financing the group that’s rebuilding the world.”
“Because I’m bald?”
“I think it’s sexy.”
“Rude, I never thought I’d have to say this to you. Shut up.”
“So Rude, now that you’ve kissed me, can I see your eyes?
